Blood, herbs & peace!

Hello all! I know it's been a while but so much has...not really happened. Today things are getting done though. For example I just got finished donating a pint of my special blood. Why is it special? Well because it's O- and that's the least common form or something, but more importantly it the universal donor. Which means anyone can recover my blood. Unfortunately though the lady wouldn't let me take a picture of the huge catheter needle in my arm. Why? I have no idea, I was going to give them kudos but not now. Also something kinda funny happened as I was walking away from the blood drive. I get out to the parking lot and see my truck with this huge tan mark on it where the paint has been scratched off from another vehicle. Luckily just before I began to flip out I looked down the row of vehicles and realized my truck was two cars down. Thank the Lord, because that would have straight up ruined my day. Something else that has been going on of cours is the planning of my ever drawing nearer wedding. And this morning started off no different. My fiancé's mother called me and was pissed that my fiancé's stepmom was taking over the planning of the rehearsal dinner. So I, the person who isn't suppose to worry about the rehearsal dinner, gets to be the liaison between the future-in laws. Thankfully I was able to form a compromise that will work for everybody. Now the only major thing left to do is mail out invitations. Which will be a large task all in itself. No matter, as long as everybody else is happy then, I "the bride" am at least content. Something new and exciting, at least to me anyways, did happen since our last encounter. I have started an herb garden. I'm pretty pleased with it. I love to cook and a lot of my recipes contain herbs, and well, fresh herbs can be somewhat costly. So to ready the situation I have planted an herb garden. And because I lack in the funds department I am starting my herbs from seeds. I planted each herb in its own pot about a week or so ago. Now four out of the seven have sprung sprouts and are growing. It's pretty exciting. I'm growing the herbs that I use the most: basil, thyme, oregano, rosemary, cilantro, parsley, and sweet marjoram. Eventually I want to add some sweet mint, fern leaf dill, green onion, and lemon thyme. I hope it all works out, because I'm not sure if the green thumbs of my Papa and my dad were inherited by me. If anybody has any suggestions about other herbs for me to grow, or at least attempt to grow then I'm all ears. Also I am kinda sorta a nurse. I received my temporary license in the mail last week. That same day I also went turned in the paperwork for my hopeful first job. Now I'm just waiting to heard back for the employer. I've also went and registered the NCLEX, which is the national licensure exam for nurses. I am to take mine in Birmingham, Alabama on June 8th. So any prayers or blessings you would like to throw my way would be much appreciated. Anyways that's about all that has been going on in the life of this chica. Until next time...
